August 21-----Bryan Tx

We are back in Bryan until Friday morning. Peyton has had a little colic for a couple of days. He has grown so much. He will be a month old tomorrow. He has been eating 5=7 oz every time he wakes up and some times will sleep for 5-6 hours at a time. Susan got him some gas drops but only used them once. He pretty much slept and wasn't fussy when awake. They changed his formula to see if it helped and maybe it has. He was awake and happy when we left last night.

August 17-20 Guadalupe River

Maggie and I got up about 6:30 and sat by the river. It was a nice quiet morning. Most everyone else slept in later.  Most of the young folks took a shuttle and made a 3-4 hr float back to camp. The rest of us just put our canopy in the river here at camp and just chilled out. Mike Z, Mackenna, and Ashley went up the river from camp and used a rope swing. When the rest of the group got back they also headed for the rope swing. I thought about it but decided this old person did not want to take a chance on hurting my back. We made tacos for supper. I cooked about 15lbs of hamburger meat.  We had lots of good dips. We made a head count of 25 people.  Rick set up his TV and we watched the Texan game. It’s a tough camping life. On Sunday MikeZ/Kristi went home. The girls stayed with us. Sunday and Monday were repeat days. The kids played and floated the river. We really had good weather and I hated to leave Tuesday morning. We left and went to Bryan. Julianne (Mike Z cousin) is picking the girls up and taking them home.  We had no cell service so I couldn't update my blog daily as I didn't leave the campground. I am putting a few pictures on but may not comment on them.

August 15----Guadalupe river

We went to Bryan yesterday for a quick trip. We wanted to see Peyton and also had to take Misty  for Kyle to keep for a week. Kevin is supposed to leave for Oklahoma for a few months with his job. Peyton is really growing. We got back about 4 and I hooked the trailer up and loaded. We left the next morning with Mike/Lavonna.  Mike/Kristi and the girls had borrowed a trailer and they left ahead of us .Somehow we still beat them to the River Road Campground on the Guadalupe river. Our friends Rick/Slyvia Gnolish are already there. It was Ricks first time and he didn’t quite get where we need him but we managed to get our trailers set up. It’s at the dead end of the campground with not much room to maneuver big trailers.  Mike and Lavonna brought two of their grandchildren, the parents Mikey/Tiffany and one daughter Katy  . Katy had some friends which brought their trailer also.  The grandkids had a great time playing in the river. It was a nice evening. We had hot dogs for supper and to bed after a long day.

August 9----Last day in Bryan

I rolled back into Bryan about noon. Susan headed home from the lake. I went by and checked on Peyton and he was doing fine. Headed back to the trailer and started getting it ready to roll tomorrow. Went back to Kyles and watched the Texan game. Peyton was in one his feeding frenzy modes and stayed up till about 9:30. He will probably sleep well tonight. I will go see him in the morning before I leave.

August 8---Riverside for one night

We got up this morning and decided to meet Kristi at the lake house today. It is only about an hour and 15 minutes from here. Susan is going yo go home from there Friday or Saturday. I am going back to Byran and come Saturday or Sunday .   Peyton slept good again last night. He gave Mom a run for her money this morning by pooping all over her and the bed. She had it under control when I got there and Peyton was already to take a nap. We both left about noon and headed to the lake. It was hot hot at the lake. A friend of Kristis also came with her kids and they all had fun swimming, kayaking and jet skiing. It was a fun evening with the kids but we wore at in the heat. I think Susan is going home tomorrow.

August 7 Kristen home

Peyton slept good last night.  He went to bed about 10 and slept till 2:30. Ate and back to sleep by 3 and then slept till 7. Kristin called about 9 and said they were letting her out of the hospital this morning. Kyle picked her up and she was home by noon.  Peyton was glad to have Mom home. Kyle will be glad to sleep in is bed tonight. It made 106 here for the third day in a row. If all go well we will head home sat or Sunday.

August 6

Kyle stayed at the hospital with Kristin last night. Susan and Maggie stayed at the trailer and I stayed with Peyton. He kinda did a cluster feeding from 8 till 12. Went to sleep and slept till I woke him up at 5:30 am, I knew he had to be hungry so I changed him and fed him and back to sleep he went. Kyle came home about 6:20 to shower and head to work. Susan came about 7:30 and then headed to hospital to see Kristen. Her fever has dropped and holding steady. Kristen's fever stayed down all day. the blood cultures came back normal so they think she might have just a low grade infection. Peyton had a good day and stayed awake more. Maybe he will sleep more tonight. He is eating well.

Aug 1-5 Things go good then head downhill

Thursday was a good day. Peyton eating and sleeping well.We put together his swing and he loved it. We got up Friday and talked about going to Toledo Bend for Delilah:s birthday.After checking that Peyton had a good night and every one was doing ok we headed out. Its about a 4 hr drive from Bryan to Hemphill. We stayed with Mike & Lavonna in their trailer.  We had a good time at the lake. On Saturday we all went to George and Delilahs and floated in the lake all day. Lavonna and Ladonna  fixed a great birthday supper. Sunday morning we got up and headed back to Bryan. After we got back we took a little nap then headed on to Kyles. Kristen had been running a fever so she was taking a nap.  After getting up her temp was 103.Kyle took her to the ER . After a little while he called and said they were admitting her. She has some kind o.if infection.  Kyle spent the night at the hospital. Peyton had a good night after he went to sleep. Kyle had a work trip to Atlanta scheduled for this week but was able to get it cancelled. Peyton went for his checkup and he weighs 9 lbs now. Kristen is going to be in the hospital until Wednesday. Hard to update a blog on Peyton's schedule.

July 31-Aug 1

Wednesday was a quiet day.  Peyton just ate and slept all day. Thursday morning he was bright eyed when I got over there. He stayed awake for about an hour before going back to sleep. He need some rest as his Great Grandma and his Great Aunts came to visit him. He pretty much slept thru the whole visit. Later that evening while Kyle and Kristin were gone Peyton woke up and stayed awake for about 1 1/2 hours. Maybe he will sleep more tonight.
