It was a typical cool morning. Adams living room has big windows so you can sit, drink your coffee and watch the day unfold. It's not unusual to see deer wandering down the street and today I saw a little buck and two does. Adam and Katy left to go on a 10 mile hike in the mountains, we chose to skip that. I brought Susan"s sewing machine and other stuff in from the trailer. She set up in the dining room table so she can sew. I did a first pass thru the trailer cleaning and sweeping. I then went and washed my truck. After I got back I reorganized everything in it because it was a mess. Sometime around 1:30 Susan wanted to go get an ice cream. Cooper had been on the couch sleeping but didn't jump up to go to the truck. I picked him up and put him on the floor and he could barely walk. Back problems are not unusual in dachshunds but Cooper is pretty young to start having them. He had been going up and down lots of stairs and running around but really nothing unusual. He just layed on the couch the rest of the day. When Adam got home he had some dog aspirin so we started him on that. Katy has a daughter that works for a vet in Craig. I plan on having him there in the morning at 8. We just chilled the rest of the evening. Adam has two tenants that live in the basement. They are interns for BLM. They are gone during the week working but have the weekends off and they are here. His house has three bedrooms in the basement , one on the main floor (that's ours) and three upstairs. There are four bathrooms scattered around. They both loved Cooper and gave him lots of attention.
