We pulled out Thursday morning and headed to just south of New Orleans. St Bernard State Park is our destination. I-10 from Winnie to Baton Rouge was rough and had lots of construction. We stopped just before Lafayette for lunch. We had a hard time finding a place where we could park and then a hard time finding a place we could get into for gas with the trailer. The traffic across the Mississippi river in Baton Rouge was terrible. We finally made it to the park about 2:00 pm. It is a small park but very nice, about 19 miles from the French Quarter. The roads are narrow as are the site pads. Takes some moves to get a long trailer backed in. We got set up and just chilled. For supper we went to a small seafood place called Cassanovas. It actually was a little takeout and market. They did have two tables so we just ate there. It was very good but we were overdressed for the place.
