We left about 7:15 starting out on our summer trip. Our first stop is Lake Lewisville just north of Dallas. We will stay there a couple of days visiting Susan"s brother. She made him a King size quilt for his 80th birthday. We had a pretty easy drive untill we got to Dallas. It was crazy and we made a couple of wrong turns. We finally lined out and made it to our campsite. It was hot but the humidity is way lower than home. It was a challenging day for me because I threw my back out about 3 days ago. It really only bothers me when I"m waking or standing. It doesn"t bother me when I"m sitting. I can"t hardly walk in the morning but it gets better during the day. With muscle relaxers and my tens unit I survived the drive. Because of my back I"m not going to set all our stuff up here at this camp. We stopped at a Cotton Patch for lunch and had enough left over for supper so I didn"t have to cook. Our freezer door came open somewhere and dumped everything on the floor. Made a mess and a couple of packages of ground deer meat thawed out. I will cook that tomorrow. We were both tired and rested all evening. I took two muscle relaxers and went to bed at 8. Hickory Creek Campground is a nice Corp park and we have a good waterfront site with shade. Hoping my back will recover before we leave here.
