We left Wednesday morning headed to Canton for First Monday Trade Days. This was Coopers first road trip. He did great on the drive up. He looked out the windows some and slept the rest of the time. We got there around noon and set up. Jamie/Belinda got there about 1:30. There were a few light showers around but didn"t affect us. We just chilled out that evening and had taco soup for supper. There was lots of bad weather predicted for tomorrow. Thursday morning we headed to Quitman to a quilt shop. Someone built an impressive facility there. They had the quilt shop and a retreat center beside it. When we left there we stopped at the Silver Lakes Winery for some wine tasting. We had a good time there and then headed on home. We didn"t get the bad weather until late in the evening. The sirens went off 3 different times but we never saw a tornado warning for us. I found out later that the warning sirens were for winds above 75 mph. By 9:45 pm the front had moved thru and the severe weather was over. It continued to rain off and on the rest of the night and the wind still was blowing 25-30 mph. When we got up Friday morning it was clear skies , in the 40"s with 20 mph winds. Susan and I shopped till around noon. We ate some gumbo at a little cajun place and headed back to the trailer. It was a very light crowd . We took a nap and just chilled the rest of the evening. For supper Belinda cooked rib eyes and shrimp. We had a nice fire as the wind layed. Saturday was a repeat for us, we finished up shopping around noon. It was a gorgeous day. The grounds filled up with lots of people. We just chilled the rest of the evening. Sunday morning we loaded up and headed home. It was a very nice little trip.
