I actually
slept late this morning. It was 7 before I got up. Susan got up at about 7:30.
We got everything together and pulled out about 8:30. I really wanted to eat
breakfast at my favorite little place but I wasn’t hungry. We headed on down
the road. It was an easy drive. We stopped in a little community called Roy and
at breakfast at Annette’s CafĂ©. (Only place in town) Everyone in there spoke to us as we came in.
We were the only non-locals in there. We had a good breakfast and headed on our
way. We stopped at Ute Lake State Park for the night. It’s a nice little lake
in the middle of nowhere. Later we had a tremendous thunderstorm with wind and
hail. It was so loud in the trailer you couldn’t think. Since we have no cell
service and of course satellite tv went out we couldn’t track anything. The park does have wi-fi but it is weak. When the storm let up we drove up to the park headquarters
to get a good signal. Got the weather update a little late but they were
correct, nickel sized hail, 55 mph wind, 1-2 inches of rain. Hope it quiets down tonight.
