A bass fisherman |
Our drive today was not a long one so we decided to go to Heber Springs . There is a quilt shop that Susan wanted to go to. It was a pretty drive but mostly narrow two lane roads. We found the quilt shop on main street. I was able to make the block and park in the side street. While Susan shopped Maggie and I walked the little downtown area. We left there and headed to Higden where the campground is on Greers Ferry. This is not a campground I would recommend with anyone having a long trailer. The waterfront/waterview sites are on a hill. Very tight road with trees and most sites are not very level. our site was level bu t it was a challenge getting in. It is pretty and we do have a water view thru the trees. After setting up we drove thru the little town and found a mexican place to eat. We weren"t expecting much but it turned out rather good. We headed back to camp and chilled the rest of the evening. There are too many trees to get satelitte tv and we also couldn"t get any antenna stations. So it will be movies and music for the next few days. There are only about 4 campers in our section. The cell service is a little slow which makes my internet even slower.
