Susan retired from education in May 2011 and I retired in December 2011 . We are not full timers but do travel a lot. We enjoy traveling around the country. There are many beautiful places in the USA and we are going to try and see all of them while we can.
We woke up to a nice sunny day this morning. Clear skies and about 57 degrees. Susan and the girls slept pretty late. Maggie and I just sat out and enjoyed the crisp morning air. When everyone got up I cooked breakfast. Susan and Ashley went to the store while Kenna and Sammi stayed with me. They played on the swings most of the time. Mike and Kristi showed up not long after Susan got back. The girls were glad to see him. They all went to the swim beach. Susan and I went for a drive in the mountains west of Fort Collins. Another scenic drive in Colorado. We found several forest service campgrounds along the Poudre river where we will stay on the way back. Most are first come first serve. I stopped and talked to the camp host at one of them and he said to arrive Sun-Tues to find the most sites available. The temperature was about 12 degrees cooler up here. Really nice. When we got back Mike Z had gone to Walmart and got fixings for supper. They prepared bacon wrapped jalapeno filled chicken, asparagus, and a fruit salad. It was a great supper. Of course the girls had smores afterwards. Tomorrow we are headed to Rocky Mountain National Park.
