Dec 6-19 Recuperating

I felt pretty good the first week after surgery. I took things very easy and didn't do much at all. It sure was nice to get that horse collar off.  It made it much easier to sleep. By the 10th I felt like I could do anything but I didn't as my Dr said wait until we get xrays and see if the fusion is healing properly.I do that on the 22. Since I couldn't use the ranger yet and hunt in my tree climbers I decided to go get the trailer and bring it home. That way I could start cleaning and repacking at a slow pace. I had previously before surgery loaded and packed the trailer so I could just hook up and go. That was a good move. On the 11th I mowed the yard, I had to go very slow to keep from jarring my neck but it worked well. I managed to wash the trailer and get all my compartments repacked and ready for our travels. On the 14th my great niece Tilley flew in from Switzerland to visit for Christmas. She is 12 weeks old now, oh she also brought her parents Kelly and Jan with her. My other great nephew Nate( 6 weeks old) also brought his Mom( Abby) to visit. They are all staying at the new grandparents Greg and Pam. We went and visited for awhile Both baby's were good and glad to see us. I am really feeling good now and its hard to just sit around not doing much.On the 15th I started my eye drop regimen for my left cataract surgery. 2 types of eye drops 3 times a day and 1 other type once a day. I do this until the 18 when my surgery is. Susan has been sewing for the last couple of weeks getting things done for Christmas. Now she has to start wrapping gifts. On the 16th Kevin and Jen came over and Jen helped Susan wrap Christmas gifts. That night we went to watch Ashley's Christmas school program.  On the 18th I had cataract surgery on my left eye. It went well. When I got up Friday morning my left eye was pretty blurry. They said it could be blurry for a couple o f days. I didn't have this issue with my right eye. The  eye doctor  said and  my eye was normal and doing good. He said my right eye experience was awesome and doesn't happen very often. I liked the first time much better. It was a nasty day to be on the road.  We ended up with 5 inches of rain. I will be so glad when all this recuperating is done. Getting cabin fever and ready to do something.
