Nov 1- 14 Finally its Deer Season

Its been a quiet time at Mack Creek for the month of October. Things changed with opening weekend.  Folks started rolling in on Thursday and more by Friday night. The kids that were here all had a good time playing.  Kyle and I rotated taking Peyton and Luke hunting with us in the evening. We let them sleep in the mornings. We did get some more rain. It has been the wettest  deer season in years. All of our creek crossings are a mess. You need your ATVs in 4 wheel drive to get up the hills. With all the wind and rain , we have tons of acorns on the grounds so the deer are not eating corn. I have had my automatic feeders off for the last week  and there is still corn under them. I have not killed anything yet, only have seen one buck and he was not a 13 plus. I haven"t hunted the lat two days as my back has been acting up, The weather has been nasty so I figure to rest it a couple of days.  Im going home and coming back on Friday
