- Susan retired from education in May 2011 and I retired in December 2011 . We are not full timers but do travel a lot. We enjoy traveling around the country. There are many beautiful places in the USA and we are going to try and see all of them while we can.

July 9---Beaver Lake
Whew, the hottest day of the year for this part of the country. It got to 95 here on the lake. Tomorrow we are supposed to get some rain and it should cool off late in the day. Good thing we had a nice breeze blowing all day. We didn't do much today, I went down by the river checking out the fishing and kayaking. No one was catching any trout today and the water was a little low but looks like it would still be good to kayak. Susan did a little sewing today and I took a pretty good nap. We decided to go out to eat for supper. There is a little place between here and Eureka Springs called the Anglers Inn . I always have wanted to try this place but never had. Its speciality catfish and shrimp..The catfish was excellent and the shrimp was ok. Its hard to beat the fresh gulf shrimp from home. We went on in to town after supper and went to an ice cream shop. Whew I was stuffed for the ride back to the camp. Sat around for awhile and went to bed.
