August 31-Sept 1 De Queen Lake and then Beaver Lake

We pulled out Thursday morning about 9:00 am. We meandered our way to Bellah Mine Campground on De Queen Lake in Arkansas.  It was an easy drive and took about five hours. We made one stop in Broken Bow, Ok to eat lunch and gas up.  I didn"t even un hook the trailer at the campground as we were there just one night.  We left the next morning around 8:00 am.  We stopped in Waldron Ar  at the Sonic and also gassed up. We made another stop in Garfield at the Shortstop and had lunch. Its kind of a dumpy grill but they have the best hamburgers. They also have huge ice cream cones but I passed on them today. We got to the Damsite Lake Campground about 1:40pm.  Luckily our site was open and we got set up. We  will be here for  the next 10 days.  The weather was great. It hit 84 but with low humidity. It sure felt good getting away from the Texas heat.
