July 3,4 2925 Independence Day

Thursday was a pretty quiet day. We piddled around all day as Susan was still under the weather. By evening time she was feeling somewhat better. For some reason Im having a hard time downloading my pictures to my computer. Cannot figure it out. Anyway Friday morning was a cool morning with a little rain expected. It hasn't rained for a couple of months here but today is the day with all the events planned. Adam and Katie went on A 5k walk at 7:30 and it misted pretty good before they started. They came back and Adam put our chairs in his Ranger and set them up a long the parade route. The parade started at 10 and there was lots of people, most of the town. The population of Meeker is only about 2200. It was a nice small town parade, the kind that I like. After that was over we walked thru the little vendors set up.  At 2:00 we went to the Ranch Rodeo. I think there was about 12 ranch teams .   Just before we left to go we had a pretty good rain. It settled the dust pretty good.  At 6:00 they had a freestyle biker exhibition .  These guys were amazing. I don"t think my videos will load on this format. After that we came back and had BBQ for supper. At 9;45 pm the fire department put on a fireworks display. We could sit in Adams driveway and watch it all. They did a really good job. It was a late night for this ole man.
