Got up Wednesday morning to a wet day. It rained pretty good during the night. It rained off and on most of the day. The forecast said there was going to be 3 more days of rain. We decided to leave early and head north. I went out and filled the truck up, went to the store and then picked up pizza for supper. I was able to pick up all my outside things before bed. When we got up Thursday morning the rain had stopped but it rained about 4 inches overnight. We got on the road about 8:00 am. We arrived at the Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV park which is near Childress Tx about 2;30. We had 3 stops on the way. This is about as long as I care to drive anymore. It's nice to shut down early. This place has long pull thrus so I didn't"t even unhook. We ran back roads all the way. I"ve never seen this part of the country so green, Every river is running and all stock tanks full. It was a nice easy drive.
