June 15,16 2025 Boondocking Wyoming
We had pretty good storms last night in Fort Morgan. Two tornados north of us. The closest one was about 10 miles north of us but all were heading east. It was clear as a bell when we got up. We were in no hurry to leave because we only had about a 4 hr drive. When we got to Cheyenne we went to Walmart and then ate lunch at a Wendys. Our camping spot is on Pole Mountain between Cheyenne and Laramie. We camp at about 8100 ft. My number 1 spot was taken when we arrived but my #2 spot was open. I like it because of the great views. Because my electric jack bit the dust I had to use a bottle jack and jack stands to set up. It wasn't too bad but I will replace it when we get to Adams. I was plenty tired that night and slept well. Monday morning I woke up to 51 degrees. I put the furnace on in trailer to warm it up. Filled up the generator and then put the coffee on. Later I cooked a good breakfast. Susan worked on her sewing and Cooper and I took a walk. We made a quick run in to Laramie to get good service for internet cause we had a few things to do on our laptops. We have poor service on the mountain. That evening we had several gusty wind storms. I ended up using my air fryer outside because of the wind I didn't think my smoker would do well. I love this country up here. My blog will be intermittent because of service. I'm also having trouble download pictures, just not my day.
