March 7, 2015 The Grandkids had Fun Today

I got up early and built a fire. It wasn't long till Ashley got up followed shortly by the other two. They were so excited to be here. The deer had already moved on this morning but the girls loved the mountain views. Mike Z also got up pretty early. Sammi couldn't wait to go play in the snow. There is really not much snow here at the cabin, but it was enough for Sammi. It was the first time she had ever been in the snow. They played most of the early morning.  Later when everyone was up we went to the Echo Lake Cafe and had breakfast. Its a small place and it was really good. After that we drove up to Echo Lake to let the girls play on the frozen lake.It was a first for them. We have had a couple of warmer days and there were places that looked like they could be getting thin. We left there and headed up to Jewel Basin road as far as we could go. We found a couple of places to stop and play in the snow.We then headed back home. The kids played outside the rest of the day. Mike Z and I ran into Bigfork to get a few more groceries.Carol had made spaghetti sauce earlier so supper was almost complete. Since the weather wasn't too cold we set the fire pit up outside and had a nice little fire for the evening. Tomorrow all the kids are going skiing. Not sure what the old folks are going to do.
