4/20/2019 A Very Windy Day

We had a nice sunrise with clear skies. It was cold but the big thing was the wind. it blew 20-25 mph all day long. I had to put our hot water heater on electric mode because the wind was just right to blow the flame out. There was no sitting outside as the high only made 60. We took a little drive thru the country. First we went down by the dam and looked around. Then we went to a little winery in Beaver (pop 100) called The Railway. It was a nice little place , his wines were mostly semi-sweet to sweet.  He did have a good red muscadine which I really liked. When we left there we headed into Eureka Springs. We had a surprisingly good Mexican food lunch at La Familia. We had thought about getting tickets to the Passion Play but because of the wind and cold we decided to go to the Ozark Mountain Hoe Down instead. We headed home and took a little nap.  The park was starting to fill up with trailers as everyone was getting ready for the weekend. That evening we went to the Hoe Down. We usually go once every time we are in the area.. They have a new cast and it was very good, gospel and country music. When we got out to come home that night the wind had finally died down.
