March 2, 2014 The Weather turns Nasty

We got up this morning to much cooler wet conditions.  George, John and Jeff hooked up and left around 8:00 am.  We dressed, then Mike/Lavonna and us went and did a little shopping inside the arbors. After that we drove around the hill. Most of the outside vendors had packed up and left. When we  got back to the  trailers the temperature was already 32 degrees.  About 12:30 I decided to dump my holding tanks and top off my water tank. Picked up so in the morning it will be easy to hook up. Ice pellets started falling. I finished and went inside and took a nap.  I got woke up by thunder and sleet. Later it turned to a snow mix. Mike & Lavonna came over and we decided to go eat about 5. By then we had 3=4 inches of snow mix on the ground. My truck couldn't make it up the hill to get out so we went back and got in Mike/Lavonnas 4 wheel drive. It made it and we eased down the road to eat. Lots of the tent structures in the trade days were collapsed from the weight of the snow and ice. After eating we decided to go to Walmart  and stock up on food. We really think we might not be able to get out tomorrow. It was 24 at 6:30 pm and the low is going to be around 16 and not get above freezing tomorrow. At least its warm in the RV.  Maggie didn't like taking her evening walk.
Its a White Sunday

4 Wheel drive is nice
