May 13,2014 A little Wine Tasting

I got up this morning about five o'clock. It had really stormed during the night but the rain was over. The wind was still blowing hard and the temperature was about 49. It stayed overcast with light showers most of the morning. Since outside activities were not feasible we decided to make at least one wine tasting. We chose Texas Hill Country Vineyard outside of Johnson City. It was a very nice place and we bought 4 bottles of wine. We left there and drove thru Perdaneles State Park. I had never seen the Falls with more than a trickle. While not raging it had more water than I had seen there before. You could hear the roar when you got out of the truck. After that we headed back to Blanco to eat at our favorite little Mexican food place (El Puerto). It”s a mom and pop place with great food. Headed back to the trailer to take a nap. We didn”t do much the rest of the evening, just read and watched tv.  The wind blew and we got some more light showers. Tomorrow we move to Fredricksburg.
