July 12 Loons Point

Crane family
Lake Michigan
Lake Michigan north shore
Today was a nice day. The Crane family came by early this morning while I was drinking coffee. It wasn't as cool this morning, about 57 but the wind was blowing. Later Susan and I made a little drive along the North shore of Lake Michigan. She was quite happy to find a quilt shop in the middle of no where. Its nice to be able to roll the windows down in the truck and take a little nap while Susan inspected the shop. It was pleasant at 72 with a cool breeze. Its very nice along the coast line. We turned north and drove by Brevort Lake. Found some great camping spots. The only drawback is no hookups but we could get by for a couple of days here. On the way back to camp we stopped at a little  farmers market to get some fresh cherries and a few other vegetables. It was another nice evening sitting by the water. We saw one large bald eagle fly by, that's the first one I have seen here. This looks like good moose country but locals say there are very few around here. On the other hand its bear country but we haven't seen any yet.
