Things Happen

On  our last day at Defeated Creek. It has been another hot day. The temp today topped out at about 106.    The morning was nice so I started putting up the kayak and other little items I knew we wouldn't use.  Later in the day when the heat cranked up we went to town and treated ourselves to a Sonic Blast. Took another ride thru the countryside.

When we got back, we hit the water and just floated for awhile. It sure made you feel better. While we were floating and talking to our neighbors, a man came around our trailer and asked if it was ours.  I said yes and he said I just turned your water off cause it looks like a water line has burst. Boy, that turned out to be an understatement. There was water pouring out of the trailer. The line to the toilet had split and water had flooded our bathroom and part of our living room floor.  Luckily we had plenty of towels to clean up.  Sopped everything up and set up fans to dry. Clamped the toilet line with a hose . Had to take everything out of our trailer compartments to let that dry also. Wow what an evening.  I was glad Susan had put the crockpot on and supper was already cooked.
