Greg and I were up early this morning. Watched the daily parade of geese go by.When everyone else got up we headed to St Ignace. This is where we could catch a ferry to Mackinac Island. The ferry is about a 15 minute boat ride normally, but we took the one that also goes to the Mackinac Bridge so it adds about 10 minutes to your trip. There are no vehicles on the island. You go by foot, bike, horse or carriage. We took the carriage ride which is  good way to see the main points. The driver tells you about all the history of the things you see. I don"t know what I expected to see but it was even better than I had ever imagined. The island is gorgeous. We toured the butterfly conservatory, the horse stables, several buildings and then Fort Mackinac State Park. We ate lunch there overlooking the harbor. There was too much that we did and saw to put in this blog. I would say to put this place on your top ten list.
