Jan 20,2015 Boat Ride and Rocket Launch

It was a warmer morning when I got up. Really an overcast day but little wind. Maggie an I took a long walk around the park. Long Point Park is a big campground . Lots of snowbirds here. The county does a good job of maintaining the place. While there is nothing fancy here I would stay here again.Alex and Vicky came by and picked us up. We  ate breakfast at a little place on the beach and then headed to the boat marina. We headed up the Indian River toward the Atlantic Ocean. The ocean was a little rough so we just cruised the river. We saw several dolphins and lots of interesting sights. The day stayed overcast so no sunshine. After we got back Susan and I both took a little nap.We went back to Vicky's at 5  .She cooked supper again for us. Later we walked to the beach to watch a rocket launch at Cape Canaveral.. From their beach you have a clear view of the launch facilities. We were really lucky as the rocket launched only about 15 minutes late.It went up and then turned toward us and and then made one more turn and was gone. A night launch is pretty spectacular.Wish I had taken a  recording of it. My pictures just don't do it justice. We headed home afterwards Tomorrow will be a new day.
