July 20, 2016 A Drive Thru the Country

It was just plain cold when I got up this morning. It showed to be 47 but felt much colder. Luckily there wasn't much wind. I cooked us a breakfast of bacon and eggs. We went to Steamboat Springs and mailed Peyton"s birthday gifts by UPS. After that we drove north toward Steamboat Lake to just look around . It is a beautiful drive up there. Some wonderful meadows and mountain pastures. We turned at Clark, Co and drove along the Elk River. It was so pretty and we did find some dispersed camping sites. We headed back to Clark which consists of one General Store. It has a deli, post office, liquor store and small groceries under one building. We at lunch there and headed back. It was threating rain when we got back. We just watched tv the rest of the evening.
