June 30, 2016 A Druve Thru the Country

I slept late this morning, almost 6:30 am. I felt cold but it was only 54 in the trailer and 54 outside.  Yes, there was a window left open last night. It was an overcast morning.  We decided to take a little road trip . We took a county road around Eleven Mile Lake and thru the mountain meadows until we reached the little town of Guffey.   Not much there but a few antique stores, two restaurants and one tavern. It’s a quaint little place and it was a gorgeous drive. We did find a little campground on the lake by a cove which we would consider staying some time. We drove to Cripple Creek and then back to the trailer. We had a few showers which dropped the temperature to 55. It only warmed up to about 66 all day. It was windy and  we stayed inside most of the day. Around 5 it cleared up and the wind layed so we sat outside by the fire till supper. We did have a few coyotes running for awhile then they quit. We haven’t seen big wildlife here where we are camping.
